Terms of sale

These terms cover what you pay on this site to receive your Sonify Shield Kickstarter reward, and anything extra you buy here. The seller is Sonify, Inc., 1209 Orange Street, Wilmington, DE 19801, USA. Contact: contact@trysonify.com.

What you pay

• Shipping for your reward, set by your country and the number of Shields. We show the price before you pay.
• Shipping for add-on exciters you pledged for on Kickstarter.
• Any extras you choose: extra Shields at the lowest price you paid per Shield on Kickstarter (or our standard price if your pledge had no Shield), and extra exciters at $25, each plus shipping. Backer prices end Oct 31, 2026, 11:59 PM US Central time, or when your parcel is packed. Extras ship from our Houston stock, so they’re offered for US parcels only, while stock lasts.
• For UK parcels worth £135 or less: UK VAT, which we collect and pay to HM Revenue and Customs.
• For Texas addresses: Texas sales tax, where it applies.
• All prices are in US dollars. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts it and may add a fee.

Import charges

US orders ship from Houston and nothing else is due on delivery. Orders outside the US ship from our factory in Shenzhen, China. Where the checkout says import VAT, GST, duty or carrier fees are collected on delivery (for example UK parcels over £135, Canada and Europe), you pay those to the carrier. For UK parcels over £135 we show an estimate; for Canada and Europe we tell you what is collected, as the amount depends on your province or country. If you refuse to pay them, the parcel may be returned or destroyed, and we may not be able to send it again.

Free exciter

Some backers receive a free exciter as a gift. It has no cash value and can’t be exchanged.

Thank-you credit

If your pledge had no reward, there’s nothing for us to ship. As a thank-you, we give you a code worth $30 to use on one Sonify purchase within 12 months. It has no cash value, can’t be exchanged for cash, and any part you don’t use in that purchase is lost.

Your address

Please check your address carefully. You can change it on this site until your parcel is packed (we pack and ship every week). After that, contact us; we’ll try to help but can’t guarantee changes. If a parcel can’t be delivered because the address was wrong, sending it again may cost extra.

Refunds and cancelling

• If we can’t ship your order, we refund what you paid on this site in full.
• If you pay twice by mistake, we refund the extra payment automatically.
• Extras (extra Shields and exciters) can be cancelled for a full refund, including their shipping and tax, until your parcel is packed.
• If you live in the UK or the EU, you also have the legal right to cancel extras within 14 days of receiving them. Tell us within that time and send them back unused; we’ll refund the price and the original shipping for them within 14 days of getting them back. You pay the cost of returning them.
• If extras you add take a UK parcel over £135, we refund the UK VAT you paid at checkout; UK import VAT is then collected on delivery.
• Shipping charges aren’t refundable once your parcel has shipped, unless it’s lost or arrives damaged.
• Your Kickstarter pledge itself is covered by Kickstarter’s terms.
• Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the consumer laws of the country where you live.

Delivery

Delivery dates are estimates. We’ll email you when your parcel ships. If something arrives damaged or goes missing, contact us within 30 days of the expected delivery date.
